Skyler and I were very excited to show our new home to more family members. Ethan and Elizabeth built their home a few years ago, so we were able to compare notes and hear about their adventures with the building process.
Mom and Dad C. were the first official visitors to our homesite, and now the Hoff's are the second visitors.
Alex, Natalie, and I are checking out the progress in the basement!
On Monday we took a trip to Mount Vernon, home of George Washington. It's an awesome place, and Alex was especially excited to see it. This was by far my favorite picture of the day. Alex and Natalie were told that they could each pick out one souvenir from the gift shop. We were all a little shocked when Alex chose a Civil War gun and Natalie chose a hatchet. It was quite a humorous sight. If you look very closely you can see the reason why Natalie chose the hatchet...it's filled with candy!!
Despite how tired we all were by the end of the day, we stayed up late to keep enjoying our time together. Here's Natalie and me reading before bed. She LOVES to read, and before she would even think about going to sleep, we read every book that she had with her. Alex is in the background waiting patiently for his chance to play a video game with his Dad and Uncle Sky.
Wednesday was another fun day! We took a drive to Baltimore to see what the city had to offer. We became big fans of the city very quickly! Our first stop was the home of the Orioles. It was another beautiful stadium. Here's a picture of me with my cute sister!
Here are Natalie and Alex posing in the car with their cool new hats and bats!
Our final destination was a ride on the Ducks Mobile. Elizabeth had the brilliant idea of seeing the city this way, and it worked out perfectly. This is one of those awesome rides that drives you around the city and shows you the most famous sites, but then it turns into a boat that takes you out on the water. How cool is that?!
One of the items that everyone is given at the beginning of the tour is a Wacky Quacker. We were all told that we could quack at anyone and any thing throughout our tour, and that's exactly what people did. We were quacking along to the YMCA, The Chicken Dance, and any other song that the captain decided to play. As the Ducks sign said, we had a "Quack-tastic" day!
