A few hours before bringing my parents to the airport, we took one more drive down to Woodbridge. Skyler was at work, so my parents came with me. We were so thrilled when we pulled up and saw this lovely image! The outline of our house was complete. I will admit that we were expecting a rather large hole in the ground. After all, isn't that how all homes are built?? Thankfully, Dad came to the rescue and explained how different the building process would be between Virginia and Wisconsin/Utah. As we found out this winter, it just doesn't get that cold out here. So, no super large hole necessary.
This is another picture from the backyard. This makes the size of the lot a little bit clearer. You can also see the construction that's going on around us.
This is a view from where our driveway is going to be. Our backyard looks out on a little forest of trees that they are never going to remove!! They're going to put a walking path through the trees so we can easily access Leesylvania State Park.
These last pictures are of my cute parents and me before we said good-bye to our newly dug lot.
Yipee!!
