IT'S SNOWVERKILL

After a week of being homebound, most East Coast residents were getting pretty stir crazy, hence the "Snowverkill" we kept hearing all over the news. Not the Bradbury's, though! We were loving every minute of it!!

On my fifth official snow day (the 8th of the school year) we decided it was time to go and build some snowmen. It was the first sunny day we had seen in a long time, and the sun was hitting the snow in the backyard just right. Perfect snowman making weather! We went to work not realizing just how hard of work that was. I became the official snow roller, which I was amazingly good at, and Skyler became the sculptor. I really think he has another career to fall back on if he ever gets tired of being a lawyer! After about two hours of building I soon realized that my body felt like it does after shoveling for two hours. So, if you want a full body workout, snowman building is for you!

The "roller" hard at work!

The "roller" taking a much needed break!

Our completed masterpieces!

Skyler's snowman, complete with a Disney visor, sunglasses, and a can of Mt. Dew!

Skyler mistaking his snowman for a snow cone!

Skyler having an interesting conversation with the snow couple.

The protectors of our house!

As seen from the kitchen window.

As of 3:15 p.m. Friday, our snow people are still holding on strong. That's more than I can say for the neighbor's snowman across the street. The poor snowman was decapitated by the sun yesterday. He just couldn't hold on.
